Dear Fellow Americans,
We are at a crossroads both in Virginia and the United States. We are under attack for our freedoms of the First (freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly), Second (the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed), Fourth (protection from search and seizure), and Fifth (protection of life, liberty, property) amendments. I believe in these constitutional rights and I will fight for them.
Another major issue we need to address is excessive spending. Congress has not passed a balanced budget since 2001 resulting in a $23 trillion national debt whose benefits are being spent today at the cost of children too young to vote. That deficit equates to $70,350 for every person in the U.S. We need to stop excessive spending and live within our means. We need to find common ground to find solutions to problems we all face as Americans on issues including the budget, Supreme Court nominees, tax reform, national defense, immigration, and health care reform to name a few. We need to say enough is enough and stand up for our rights in Virginia. I am willing to fight for your rights in Virginia and therefore I have decided to run for the U.S. Senate against Senator Warner.
As a conservative Christian, I believe in the sanctity of life, biblical marriage, and the family as the core of society. I support the concept of individual liberty, economic freedom, the opportunity to succeed without government restraint, the right to worship freely and live those beliefs without government intervention.
As a fiduciary fee only financial advisor, I believe in balance budgets and living within your means. As a former National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) board member, regional chair, and ethics chair, I continue to help clients meet their financial goals.
As a two-term elected Supervisor for Frederick County, I have advocated for multiyear planning budgets and debt repayments. I have been the only supervisor to hold several town hall meetings to get constituent input on local concerns before voting on those issues. With another colleague, I helped draft and voted for a resolution reaffirming the rights of citizens under the Second Amendment in Frederick County. As a VACO member, I have attended state meetings and have spoken on behalf of Frederick County.
As a member of the Izaak Walton League and the Virginia Citizens Defense League, I believe in conservation to protect natural resources and the right to bear arms.
As an Eagle Scout and former Boy Scout Commissioner, I will continue to implement the Scout oath “do my best to do my duty to God and country”.
As a former Vice President of a local Jaycee chapter in New Jersey, I helped people develop their leadership skills through service to others.
If any of these beliefs resonate with you, I would humbly ask for your support.
